Last two weeks, I was having a group meeting for my subject, managing project. Last week, I was so freakin' lazy, especially when I know it would be sore if I started body step again although I do love the tension-relieved effects that body step brings. Ah, damn! My laziness won! I didn't go to class.

However, finally, on this Thursday, I was eager to come to the class. I came prepared to know that if my body would be sore and so tired, I would spend the night sleeping like a baby. But (I don't know if I was terribly lazy this week or what), I was having my lunch at 3.30. I am a slow eater, which means it took 30 minutes to munch the whole calzone. Oh, God! It was a mistake. I tried to suggest my self "don't puke, don't puke, focus, focus". That was the technique I used to delude the reality happening in my stomach. lol. "Oh, God, I'm fulllll". Lesson to learn: don't have a lunch 30 minutes before body step class, so you don't have to delude the reality like I did. lol.

At 4.00 or 4.05, I was in the Lazer room. Somebody had fixed the entry gate (or whatever the name is). It was dysfuntional since last two months, I think. Sometimes, the gate won't open even if I swipe my card. Sometimes it's open without having to swipe the card. Anyway, I was suprised in two weeks I didn't come to class, there was a change. But before my two weeks off, I was coming to the class for months and no changes had been made. Is it a coincidence? Anw, the entry gate is just something that I notices, just an intermezzo.

I didn't do the same mistake I'd done weeks ago, i.e. coming in 5 minutes before the class. Weeks ago when I did that, I almost went home after entering the class and it was an embarrasing moment being confused among the people moving their bodies under the trance of hip body step music. So I make a conclusion that no way you can come and get a space if you come in 4.15. People usually come 15 or 10 minutes before the class. So, because I was one of the body steppers who came very early that day, I could choose my space. I chose the center of the room. Yes, I feel victorious (over my habit of doing things last minute) not coming late :) and being in the center of the room.

Stephanie has been back from LA. I saw her practicing some moves. Yayy!!! New moves??? :))) I was so anticipating some new moves. I love varieties. If body step can change the moves every 2 months, it will be lovely.

The music finally hit the floor. It was the same song and same moves. "Oh, probably it's just the warming-up part". "It wasn't the core," I said that to myself. But the second song didn't change and so did the moves. I was a little "aah, I thought there will be new moves". But it's okayyy, I came here to sweat. I could do the warming up consistently; no notion to stop in my head. The second song was also good. I actually liked the Love is A Crime. The thing with that song is when I had to do the arms. I didn't use to have my arms move (except for writing). I got to put my arms up, swing it around, clap my hands. But I was motivated by the other steppers. They were so eager to coordinate their legs and arms. I did that too although I stopped sometimes. The next song paced up my heart beat. "Man! I'm gonna hit it" I said. I was okay doing the track. I was like "come on, Gita. You know this song. Hit it". After 30 minutes, I glanced at the clock. This is the time when I will start to slow down because of the paced heart beat. I strategized it by saying to myself "take it easy, try not to stop". It was so helpful Steph always said "don't stop". I got an extra motivation :)

After 30 minutes passed, there were new moves. Yayy! My faves is the last two tracks --the cardio tracks (as the previous cardio tracks were also my faves). Paradoxically, I use to slow down when I start to feel I can't cope with my heart beats, but the cardio tracks actually pump my heart up to the level that I ignore my heart beats. Fantastic to be in trance!

That day, I didn't do an intense class. In fact, I only had the step after 30 minutes (I usually had one brick). I thought I would start very lightly and tried to avoid sore. I have to admit, I don't like the sore although I love body step. In the end, I tried to rate my heart beat. Pretty cool. Actually, I didn't feel that bad about the heart beats, especially after two weeks off from body step...and I felt awesome sweating and had a red blushed face coming home.
